Hello to the blog world. I am Ron Bridges, a community college biology professor by day, a graduate student in collaborative learning by night and an avid fishermen on the weekends. I started this blog to begin reflecting on the very fast paced adventures I have had and will continue to have this spring and summer.
About a month ago, I had the chance to take a group of French college students rappelling in the Great Smoky Mountains Natinal Park. Two weeks later, I took a group of colleagues rappelling on the same cliff. For those interested it was at Look Rock on the Foothills Parkwat, near Maryville, TN.

Tommorrow (May 7th), I leave for the New Orleans area with 20 members of the school's Outdoors Club. We will be assisting with post-Katrina recovery in association with the Emergency Communities (EC) volunteer association.
